What’s this? Google Keep!

Google Notes and Google Tasks are among the items that Google has dropped over the years. I kind of miss Google Notes, so it was quite a surprise to see they are back, sort of.

Without much fanfare, Google Keep appeared in the Apps list and I spotted it accidentally when looking for another one. Keep is a very bare-bones application, but it does look like a promising beginning. It has notes, a nice little task list, and apparently images will be coming. The insert image button is there but grayed out.

Fun little easter egg to find at the bottom of the Apps heap.
